Singapore - description of the city:

Singapore City is divided into three ethnic quarters: Chinatown, Little India and the Arab street (Kampong glam). Chinatown is consisted of old buildings, ancient beliefs and sharp contrasts. In the downtown area we can find standing side by side houses of the beginning of the century and modern supermarkets. Little India includes spices, flowers and a variety of shopping stalls with Indian souvenirs. Arab Street is a business and cultural center of the city. In local stores, scarves of silk and velvet, natural oils and perfumes are sold, and tents with food offer all sorts of Arabic dishes.

The attractions of Singapore city include: the Asian Civilizations Museum, the Singapore History Museum, a city tour (3.5 hours), Villa-How-Par ("Park of the Chinese dragons"), the Chinese and Japanese gardens, an excursion to Sentosa with a visit of the Aquarium, Night Safari, Crocodile Farm, Bird Park "Jurong", where you can see the parrot with a size of a young crocodile and a flock of pink flamingos freewheeling.
